Rebranded as The Print Futures Awards, it offers funding of £2,500 for UK residents aged between 16-30. The cash injection could be used for help with course fees, travel costs, books, computers and software.
In addition, those already undergoing company training can apply for awards up to £1,250 on the condition that the employer involved fund the equivalent sum in 2009/2010.
Mike Hopkins, director of the British Printing Industries Federation, said: "We are delighted to launch this scholarship scheme for the sixth year."
He added: "In these tough economic times for our industry we expect the awards to be of increased interest, particularly for young people seeking to get a foothold on a career in print and the graphic arts."
Closing dates for entries is 30th April 2009 with forms available from www.britishprint.com, www.unitetheunion.org.uk or www.printerscharitablecorporation.co.uk
