Ward started in the role in February, replacing Lisa Banton, who has retired. His experience spans 30 years in engineering and manufacturing.
He originally worked in the aerospace sector, before moving on to various managing director and CEO roles in SME subsidiaries of privately owned or public groups across various market sectors and in several countries, including the UK, Japan, and Germany.
Ward’s roles have all been linked to complex, engineered capital equipment.
“I would like to convey my excitement of joining the Bowe Group as managing director for UK and Ireland,” he said.
“I have a great interest in technology and automation and working with talented people and I look forward together with our team to continue to deliver great service and productivity solutions for our customers.
“I believe engagement with customers and transparent communication are the key to success in any organisation and from what I’ve seen in the Bowe Group, there is a fantastic combination of great products, skilled people and positive business culture ideally placed to support our customers’ existing infrastructure and ongoing investment programmes.”
Bowe Group managing director Joachim Koschier added: “I would firstly like to thank Lisa... for her exceptional contribution spanning 22 years for Bowe. We all wish Lisa all the best for the future in her new ventures.
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Paul to the Bowe Group family and I am delighted that he will bring with him a wealth of global experience in sales leadership and business development, having worked within engineering and manufacturing for many years.
“Paul will provide leadership to develop and continue to grow with the management team of our three business units, Bowe Intralogistics, Bowe Systec and Bowe IQ for the UK and Ireland.”
Offering integrated automation technology, including a wide portfolio of specialist mailing kit, and smart IoT (Internet of Things) software, Bowe Group is part of the Possehl Group.
