Natalie Carter kicked off the proceedings by running a 5k Santa Dash with her family at Sanders Park in Bromsgrove on 2 December. She, along with her husband and two daughters, Grace, 4, and Lily, 2, donated a total of £34 to Primrose Hospice to take part dressed head-to-toe as Saint Nick.
Twelve Santas, donning the full red suit, white beard and hat, arrived at the Redditch office to start work this morning, each donating £5 towards Primrose Hospice Centre of Care for the privilege.
Today’s stunt marks the first charitable event for Bobst in its 2012/2013 rounds, as the team aims to raise over £1,000 for charity over 12 months starting in September. Last year it raised £1,400 from its summer Family Fun Day for Breast Cancer Care and a Multiple Sclerosis charity.
Usually the company chooses a national and local charity to raise funds for, but this year two local groups close to the team’s hearts won their support.
The other charity chosen by Bobst is Claire’s House, where the daughter of Bobst instructor Graeme Doran’s friend passed away.
Carter said: "A few colleagues have known people who have chosen to end their days or been given a lot of support and advice at Primrose Hospice. Sometimes you forget about the local charities."
