Richard Bloxam and Catherine Hearn have taken the reins at the Print Education Forum following the resignations of Angus Clark and Richard Beamish. Bloxam takes on the role of interim chief executive, replacing Beamish, while Hearn steps into Clark's shoes as the chairman.
Bloxam has been a project manager at the PGC NTO and the PEF since 2000. He said his first task would be to "contribute to the business planning of ProSkills and allow the forum board to decide if the print and printed packaging sector should join".
Hearn, who is group human resources director at Polestar, has been a board member of the forum since its inception last November. She said her appointment would represent a "continuation" of the board's work on the training agenda.
Hearn stressed the need to define a "clear and simple road map" for how to access training, and said the creation of a sector skills council would be a key project in the coming months. Clark has stepped down from the forum to concentrate on his work at Padstow-based company TJ International, where he is the chief executive.
