Last month, the Penrith, Cumbria-based company installed a 74in Roland DG Advanced Jet AJ-740 press that is capable of producing 80sqm per hour.
Since then, AstSigns has also installed two additional 64in SolJet Pro III XJ-640s, which can print at a resolution of up to 1,440dpi.
The AJ-740 and XJ-640 have a list price of£27,990 and £16,495 respectively.
The Roland presses replace Mimaki machines.
AstSigns owner and managing director, Mark Aston, said the decision to go with Roland was down to service and support, as well as the quality of the product.
"The printers use Eco-Sol Max inks and produce fantastic graphics on a variety of substrates, but the real clincher for us was the fact that Roland DG would guarantee next-day service levels," Aston said.
"As a businessman, I need to know that the technology I invest in is backed with real support. So far, we have installed three Roland DG wide-format printers, which we use for all the Eddie Stobart work, and I expect that in the near future there will be more."
AstSigns has been trading for six years and its 30-strong staff wraps and produces signage for around 2,000 vehicles a year, as well as supplying all types of external signage, internal banners and pop-ups, and professional print services.
Last year founder Aston, who has 15 years' experience in the sign-making industry, was named as businessman of the year at the Cumbria Business Awards.
