Odystar Packaging, a completely new version of Artwork Systems' PDF 1.5-based workflow, will launch at LabelExpo in Brussels on 21-24 September.
The firm has so far declined to reveal any details on the new product, although chairman Guido van der Schueren (pictured) has confirmed that it will be on show at the exhibition later this month.
It is unclear where Odystar Packaging will sit in the Artwork Systems product range, which already includes a high-end pack-aging workflow in Nexus.
Odystar, launched in 2003, was the first workflow to be based on Enfocus' PitStop and Certified PDF technologies, after Artwork Systems bought its Ghent neighbour in May 2000.
Nexus is a long-standing Artwork Systems product, which has gone through a series of upgrades and is based on the three core modules NexusImport, NexusProcessor and NexusRIP.
The news comes a week after Artwork Systems revealed a 17% rise in third-quarter profits to 3.5m on flat revenue of just over 8m.
