Arjowiggins, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sequana Capital, has completed the takeover the 140,000-tonne-capacity plant, based in Château-Thierry France, as part of a move to increase its production of high-quality recycled pulp.
The transaction between both parties was completed on 7 January following the approval of the relevant regulatory bodies.
Arjowiggins chief executive Charles Dehelly said the buy "backs up our strategy of repositioning ourselves in value-added markets experiencing strong growth, such as those for environmentally friendly products".
He added the company could "step up the pace" in expanding its FSC-certified product range.
