Antipodean print group seeks UK press minders

APN Print, part of the APN group of companies, has embarked on a recruitment drive and appointed Harrison Scott as its sole UK agent.

The newspaper, magazine and direct mail printer has operations in Australia and New Zealand and is currently seeking number one printers and will roll out other recruitment projects via Harrison Scott as the need arises.

Dean Fox, finance and commercial manager at APN Print, said: "We have already had many printers from the UK who have come to work for us at APN - most come for a better work life balance and also for the future of their children.

"New Zealand has so much to offer. Language, quality of life, work life balance and of course the Rugby World Cup party in 2011."

APN Print has a total of 15 sites in Australia and New Zealand, specialising in coldset and heatset web offset and sheetfed printing.

Commenting on the decision to appoint Harrison Scott, Fox said: "We were impressed with the proactive, professional approach of Harrison Scott, as well as their national coverage in the UK."
