Alfred Brazier held the role, as well as being a senior lecturer, at the London College of Printing, until he passed away earlier this year.
The collection, which will be on sale on 12 October at Bonhams Printed Books, Maps and Photographs in Oxford, were all part of Brazier's workshop.
The sale also features examples of Brazier’s work and publications on bookbinding from his reference library.
Senior book valuer, Simon Roberts said, "The traditional tools of bookbinding are getting more difficult to find. They rarely come on the market these days so this is a great opportunity for enthusiasts to acquire some quality equipment."
Brazier started work in 1934 as a 15-year old apprentice with Kelly and Son Bookbinders. He studied at the Camberwell School of Arts, where he obtained a City and Guilds of London first class Final Certificate
He was appointed foreman at Kelly’s in 1954, while he also began giving evening classes and became a visiting teacher at Camberwell, before going on to his role as senior lecturer at the London School of Printing.
Many of the larger presses available in the auction are still in his workshop where they can be viewed by arrangement.
