We believe this is the hottest thing at this years exhibition, said AlfaQuest president and UK managing director Dennis Nierman.
It is based on the firms visible light platesetter and is available in two speeds. The FasTRAK CTP/C 75 is capable of imaging 75 broadsheet plates per hour at 1,016dpi, while the CTP/C 125 can image up to 125 broadsheet plates an hour.
The platesetters can handle a minimum plate size of 305x381mm up to a maximum of 625x965mm.
The company has sold four machines to US-based newspapers, to be installed in January 2003. UK installations are planned for March.
