The UK-based manufacturer, which was founded in 1983, launched the QuickPro range a number of years ago, but QuickPro Direct is unique in that it was developed for flatbed printers and eliminates the need to attach the canvas to a frame, while still retaining the look of premium stretched frame canvas.
The system uses a board made of a “specially designed embossed material”, according to Adventa marketing manager Sally Carnall, which is supplied flat and features a crack-resistant surface and patented fold and lock mechanism. It is compatible with latex or UV inks.
The main stock size of QuickPro Direct is 400x500mm but it comes in ranges up to 500x760mm.
Carnall said: “This makes it more cost-effective and saves time and money. If you’re thinking of a hotel and how many rooms would need wall art, this would be a great solution.
“A big theory of ours is that you constantly see things changing and evolving – look at the way phones have changed over the years. So if you can produce something that looks better and stronger on the wall then why wouldn’t it be successful? We want to save time for our customers but also provide them with a better solution.”
Also on stand, Adventa is showing its existing range of QuickPro canvasses, along with its Glass Mount range and acrylic poster frames, and a range of other smaller items that can be used for promotional products and personalisation. It will also be discussing the merits of its QuickPro free online software.
“The main focus is ‘Dare to print different’ and I think it is making people think to push boundaries and think differently about doing things so I think it fits perfectly with that ethos,” added Carnall.
