The company's core customers are small-to-medium trade publishing houses and small organisations and individuals with short-run softback book requirements and the company wanted to offer additional services to these customers by bringing its binding in house.
Sales director Dale Burgess said: "It was absolutely imperative that we brought this service in house as early as possible; our service is all about speed and quality, after all.
"We can now complete orders immediately, where before we would have to wait to send the work out and then wait for it to come back. It has helped us seize control and add to our bottom-line margins."
The machine features an icon-based touchscreen with an on-board 200-job memory store. It binds books up to a 45mm spine width with a cycle speed of 500cph. There is a controlled two-stage book drop to protect heavier books.
