In addition to its own tools it also launched a public beta of a Creative SDK (software development kit) that enables third parties to integrate mobile apps with Creative Cloud.
“Creatives want to work on mobile but to date the fidelity wasn’t there and the workflow was siloed,” said Adobe senior marketing director, Creative Cloud and Creative Suite Scott Morris.
The family of apps cover illustration, photography and video with companion products for Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator and Premiere along with a new category of ‘capture’ apps. These allow the creation of brushes, vector art and colour themes for use in other CC products.
Central to the addition of the mobile apps is Creative Profile, a new tool that enables users to work across mobile and desktop devices with access to the assets such as fonts, photos, colours and brushes. Creative Profile supports work across all a users devices and applications.
Updates to the desktop CC applications include support for touch on Windows 8 devices, new 3D print features and interactive EPUB support in InDesign.
All updates are free upgrades for Creative Cloud members and are available now.
