The firm was one of five companies invited to tender for the contract, which marks the end of an in-house operation that has served RICS for more than 20 years.
RICS financial controller Mark Draisey said: “Print is not our core business, and in terms of the use of our office space, we decided that an outsourced solution was best.”
The deal, signed in March, marks the continuation of a theme of public sector outsourcing resulting in a spate of print management contracts awarded in recent months.
AccessPlus said its Collaborative Workflow Systems (CWS) and Edit2Print software played a big part in the final decision.
RICS declined to reveal how many staff were affected by the closure of its in-house print shop, which ran three digital and two litho presses.
AccessPlus wins RICS contract
AccessPlus has won a three-year print management contract with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) following the organisations decision to outsource its print buying.
