21 staff lose jobs as Crysacol calls in administrators

General commercial printer Crysacol has gone into administration, making its 21 employees redundant.

Tim Dolder, insolvency practitioner at Tenon Recovery, was appointed as administrator on 9 November by the debenture holder.

However, Dolder told PrintWeek that he had no plans to sell the Buckinghamshire-based business, which closed its doors before Tenon was appointed, as a going concern.

The administrator is currently establishing the assets, although Dolder said that most of the company's machinery was bought on finance.

He added: "We discussed a sale, but the owners of the business felt that there was no business to be sold. It is a shame it got to that stage. The company was hit by a gradual loss of turnover, the business evaporated and there wasn't a viable business there."
