Overmatter: Shuttleworth’s shelfie

Warple's warped shelving unit

Overmatter is delighted to see The Warple Press in Louth finding fame on X courtesy of legendary singer-songwriter John Shuttleworth.

Shuttleworth, aka Graham Fellows, posted about a bargain buy on offer outside the printer’s premises – what looks like a ‘vintage’ Dexion shelving unit in bright blue, with a warped wood-effect top.

A snip at £10, as Shuttleworth exclaimed to his more than 56,000 followers: “I’m tempted by this terrific steel shelving unit - with sturdy perforated steel uprights – languishing outside the local printers. Aren’t you, followers? A TENNER?? What a bargain!!”

The replies, which can be found here, are a delight as you might imagine, including various in-jokes involving Mary and Ken, and how the unit could be used to house a Yamaha organ.

@LadytronFashion also impressed with some nifty Photoshopping of the shelves into a stylsh living room setting.

There was also speculation about what sort of mark-up Salvage Hunters’ Drew Pritchard could make on it.

Overmatter’s own verdict? Warple Press must surely have wanted someone to nick it and take it away, hence the ‘for sale’ sign.
