Ravi Phulsundar, director at Yogi Prints, said: "The MGI DP 60 is a versatile machine with its ability to print on multiple substrates like paper, PVC, polycarbonate, polyester etc. We have taken trials on various substrates including Dupont Tyvek. Tyvek will provide new dimensions of protection, security and safety in a wide variety of industries like schools, colleges and universities for their mark sheets and certificates."
Phulsundar added: "The running cost is low on MGI Meteor DP 60. The 13x40inch format is also unique as we can do two-fold brochures and oblong posters which are otherwise not possible to do on other digital presses offering a standard 13x19inch format."
The new Meteor DP 60 will cater to the various digital jobs at the walk-in shop Photo-Prints, an arm of Yogi Prints. Phulsundar said: "Photo-Prints include brochures, calendars, labels, garment tags and photo books printing. On the plastic card front, we are gearing up to produce an array of different products such as loyalty cards, hotel-key cards etc. for retail, hospitality, telecommunication, health care and travel segments."
The 15-year old firm started as a graphic design studio and expanded its operation to become a processing house with investment in one Dianippon Screen proofing machine, one scanner, one imagesetter and plate making setup.
Yogi Prints diversified to digital printing business five years ago with an investment in Canon, Xerox and HP printing press. According to Phulsundar, the investment in HP Scitex FB950 flatbed UV printers has enabled them to cater to the growing demand of glass printing.

The applications offered include banners, posters, signage, shop locaters, dispensers, thermoforming plates, glow sign box, shop front, bus shelters, transits, window graphics, floor graphics and large format hoardings.
