The Lean Document Production (LDP) service is one of the business development services it unveiled at the show alongside a range of enhancements to its workflow and presses, including tighter integration with offset workflows and improved finishing capabilities.
"Printers are manufacturers and want to benefit from tools that can reduce cycle time, maximise uptime and cut costs," said Xerox global business group president Eric Armour.
"Our proprietary methodology can help to reduce costs by between 20-40%, cut cycle times by 20% and reduce waste by 40%. All of which effectively provides increased capacity."
LDP, which is being premiered on the Xerox stand (7/CD450) can be used for offset, hybrid and digital print operations.
Other business developments include two new ProfitAccelerator tools for firms considering moving into continuous-feed production. The ProfitQuick Financial Modelling Software allows users to see what impact continuousfeed printing could have on their business.
Armour said the firm expected colour continuous-feed printing to account for 23% of digitally printed pages within three years.
New workflow tools include integration between Xerox Freeflow and Heidelberg's Prinect, which enables jobs to be automatically routed to the most appropriate press.
