The Exeter-based family-owned company made the £355,000 investment to back a switch from litho to digital production for the printing of weighbridge tickets for the road freight industry.
Dennis Mason, deputy managing director, William Pollard & Co, said: "Pollard's expertise in this area is significant – we've produced weighbridge tickets for some 50 years, but we're not stuck in old ways.
"Working with Xerox to re-engineer the production process has permitted us to realise some £50,000 per annum savings in production costs."
The company has also linked Xerox's FreeFlow print server, FreeFlow process manger and FreeFlow Output Manager to its online service portal, Pollard's Direct.
It has then been able to automate production, which it said has saved on account management costs and improved customer service.
The 230-year-old company has 70 staff and offers a range of print, design and web services to public and private sector organisations.
The company also has five-colour B2 and a B3 Heidelberg presses, a two-colour B3 Heidelberg press, and a two-colour Heidelberg GTO.
Mason added the company was looking to expand further, and is looking to boost its wide-format offering.
