The Stockport-based company sells 2,000 of the fully recyclable, water base units every year. It said it hoped the product would help to reduce the 170m tonnes of waste sent to landfill annually.
In addition, it claimed the cost of sending waste to landfill had increased from £40 to £48 a tonne in April, therefore argued that businesses could save money by recycling more.
Debra Jamieson, sales and marketing director for UK POS, said: "As things are starting to look up for retailers, a trend is appearing whereby people are now trying to get back on track with doing their bit for the environment.
"If a retailer can market itself as environmentally friendly, this is only going to have a beneficial effect on the consumer's perception so we're working with our clients and encouraging them to use the new legislation to their benefit."
UK POS was established in 1989 and its clients include supermarkets, department stores and high-street retailers.
