Hunter will take control of a newly created client services function at the plant in Padstow, Cornwall.
He said: “This was an opportunity too good to miss. I am absolutely delighted to be joining TJ at what is a very exciting time.”
TJ’s chief executive, Angus Clark, said: “Having held senior positions at a leading publisher and book manufacturer, Ian has a perspective of the industry that is ideal for this newly created role. Ian’s experience will be a considerable asset.”
Hunter has previously worked at publisher Nelson Thornes and book manufacturer Cromwell Press.
