"The new interface massively speeds up operation by making the MIS easier to use and to access features," said sales director Abdul Kassas.

A new route-based estimating system slashes the time taken to create an estimate and determines the most efficient production method.

Primo is also being used to help produce the IpexDaily. Beefed-up business intelligence and key performance indicator tools are driving dashboards to show the production status of the paper live on the Tharstern stand (9/F319).

An Integration Manager makes it easier to receive data from third-party applications using cXML.

A special lounge on the booth highlights Tharstern's efforts at JDF integration with partners including Agfa, Kodak and Metrix.

Pulse, another new tool within Primo, picks up machine and job statusinthefactoryfromnon-JDFkit, enabling automatic data collection without relying on operators to enter status updates.

Responding to requests from larger clients the firm has also introduced a multi-scheduler, which makes it possible to separate out scheduling for different sites, departments or production processes, such as digital, sheetfed and web.

A new communications centre helps users keep on top of their projects with the ability to set triggers, and email reminders of tasks.
