“We haven’t been pushing signings of the CreaseStream Mini range. We would rather book a demo because we know that 95% of those demos turn into sales,” said managing director Graham Harris.
He reported that interest levels from distributers looking to resell the CreaseStream Mini series had also been high. “There are big organisations in the US for example who are saying they really like this and it would fit into their dealership,” said Harris.
He added that Tech-ni-fold’s new video card install and trouble-shooting guide was making Tech-ni-fold a particularly attractive potential partner to distributers. The cards incorporate a built-in landscape screen about the size of an iPad screen which plays video footage as soon as the card is opened. This is designed to replace install engineers in some instances.
“Distributors see the video cards and think ‘this will make distributing the machines very straight forward,’” said Harris, adding: “After seeing the cards on our stand people want to apply the idea to their own businesses. That’s understandable and shows what a good idea this is.”
Ipex interest in the CreaseStream Mini series has mostly been around the Quick and Auto feed versions of the machines. The former features a handle and feeder, and the Auto-feed features a feeder, handle and motor.
Harris attributed Tech-ni-fold’s Ipex success to a pro-active approach inviting customers. “We invited all of our customers and distributers, even registering some of them. So we’ve really made the effort,” he said.
