Stora to shut Estonian mill
Stora Enso is planning to close down its Sauga sawmill in Estonia in June owing to a continued shortage of raw material, resulting in unprofitable operations.
Demonstrations at Stora Enso’s forest plantation in southern Brazil are also underway, with around 500 farm workers staging a protest against what they describe as the creation of a ‘green desert’.
