The Whitchurch, Shropshire-based firm, which employs 10 staff and has a turnover of £3m, exhibited its range of wide-format Seiko machinery for the first time at Sign & Digital UK in Birmingham last month, which marked the launch of its reseller deal.
Managing director Phil George said: “We’ve had a very good reaction to the Seiko products and have been extremely busy. We sold quite a few units at the show and have sold more since.”
Seiko, which is headquartered in Chiba, Japan, develops and manufactures wide-format printers for the sign, graphics, CAD and GIS markets. It hopes that the new partnership with Signmaster will help to grow the brand’s popularity in the UK.
Signmaster’s Seiko range includes the ColorPainter M-64s wide-format printer, which is used for long-life outdoor signage and high-quality indoor graphics. It prints with the low odour eco-solvent SX-ink.
The ColorPainter H2-104s, which can print high quality images at speeds of up to 100 sqm/ph, and the ColourPainter W-64s & W-54s are also part of the reseller deal.
“The most popular product has been the M-64s. It’s gone to all different sorts of firms but mainly those in the sign and graphics industry,” said George.
