From 1 June, softwood pulp will be increased to £400 ($800) per tonne, and hardwood pulp will be raised to £353 per tonne.
Chief executive for Södra Cell Ulf Edman said: “Although $800 per tonne is one of the highest quotations in dollars, it is not a record in euros or Swedish kroner.”
The rise comes a week after NAPM chairman Ian George predicted further price rises this year.
