Sappi, HP, APRIL and Heidelberg sign up to Copenhagen Communiqu

Sappi, HP, APRIL and Heidelberg are among some of the companies that have signed up to The Copenhagen Communiqu on Climate Change initiative.

In total so far, 908 businesses have called on G20 leaders to tackle climate change, following the start of the largest United Nations climate change conference, which began on Monday.

The Communiqué is a joint initiative developed by The University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership through The Prince of Wales' Corporate Leader's Group.

Business leaders from the group will hand a copy of The Copenhagen Communiqué to Gordon Brown at a reception at Downing Street on 10 December.

Earlier this month, the PrintCity Alliance signed the Communiqué, which calls for emission reduction targets to be guided by science.

PrintCity is a strategic alliance that covers the print, packaging and publishing industries and its members include Manroland, UPM, Sun Chemical, Kurz, Trelleborg, Faist, MKW, M-real and project partner, Kodak.

The 15th United Nations Climate Change Conference is being held in Copenhagen from 7-18 December.
