Repropoint to focus on digital print and design after discarding plotting operations

Repropoint has followed on from a 250,000 investment strategy in 2010 by moving away from plotting and copying to focus its business on digital print and design.

The company has consolidated its operations into its Woking head office as well as its Guilford site. As a result, the business has closed its Portsmouth office while its Southampton site has been taken over by Reebrooks Print Media.

Daniel Bennett, sales director at Repropoint, said the company had moved away from plan copying and plotting to focus on personalised digital print and marketing, which incorporated its Round & Red Creative division and its personalised photo book site, fotoboox.com.

Managing director Steve Hallett said that when moving away from Southampton and Portsmouth, it was "absolutely crucial" not to up sticks and leave the area "without ensuring our loyal customers and staff were left with a company who will continue to offer them the service and support they deserve".

"We have worked in conjunction with Reebrooks Print Media to ensure that our 'traditional' clientele are not left without a supplier," he added.

In September, Repropoint installed two Xerox Nuvera 120EA mono machines and an HP Designjet L25500 wide-format printer as part of an aggressive investment strategy totalling £250,000.

Several months earlier, the company took delivery of a Canon imageRunner Advance C9070 Pro light production printer in order to cater for a growing demand for high-volume, short-run prints.
