Renz to launch the AB 500 HS at Northprint

Punching and binding specialist Renz has announced it will launch the AB 500 HS at this year's Northprint event in April.

The finishing specialist will be releasing the second-generation machine in the AB 500 series.

According to Renz, the machine features all the benefits of the AB 500, but with less product handling and higher production levels.

Renz has targeted both calendar and book work for the machine, but it is pushing the increased output as a major plus point. The machine is capable of handling up to 1600 books or calendars per hour.

The AB 500 features an automated shingle conveyor delivery system, optional stacker and a touch pad makeready screen.

Bindery product sales manager Dermot Callaghan said: "We believe the speed and output of this machine is ideally suited for medium- to long-run book and calendar work, whilst being appropriate for either digital or commercial markets."
