Rave Scan uses Ipex platform to announce Heidelberg purchase

Heidelberg India has announced that the recently concluded Ipex 2010 was a successful show and said that orders from "very progressive printers" like Rave Scan are indicators that the Indian printers are positive and buoyant about their future.

"Rave Scan placed orders for their fifth and sixth new Heidelberg printing presses in a span of four years. There are few more orders up our sleeves which will be announced in due course of time," said Klaus Nielsen, Heidelberg India’s managing director.  .

"Many customers came to explore the world premiere of our CX 102 printing press, TD94 folder and upgraded workflow.  The show clearly proved that offset printing remains their strategic and preferred technology for certain sustainable business models."

Confirming the news, managing director of Rave Scan, Rakesh Bhatnagar said: "The kit also includes two units of Polar guillotines 115-X and Stahlfolder KH-78."
He added: : "The new kit adds up to a fleet of 20 Heidelberg machines across pre-press, press and postpress platform, to deliver cutting edge print and value-added services for our customers."

Shiv, the gennext Bhatnagar at Rave, said: "We opted for the coating alternative for flexibility with TOT in our packaging printing requirements for pharmaceutical clients among other jobs."

With Heidelberg machines across the print shop workflow, Rave is gearing to implement Prinect integration as the next level of automation. Apparently, Shiv will visit  Heidelberg in Germany for 21 days training with a focus on Prinect Signa Station.
