Dunn's impact, since he joined Blackwood, Wales-based Pensord in August 2011, has been wide and varied, ranging from adding new ideas to the firm's paper requisition process, to a 23% reduction in mailing downtime. Dunn's family have all worked in the industry and he said printing will be "the topic of conversation around my own dinner table" for years to come.

Judges noted Marc Goodwin’s drive in funding a part-time BSc at the University of Leeds while working as a newspaper printer at Johnston Press. He has been named as Best Level 1 and Best Level 2 student in the university’s Impress programmes and said print is "the industry I hope to be part of for the rest of
my career".
Dominic Webster, Document Solutions/Wigan Council
Dominic Webster completed his training as a machine printer in January 2012 and has been praised for the all-round skills he has developed in data protection, web-to-print and finishing during a difficult period for the public sector, in which staff numbers in his department have been reduced due to budget cuts.
