Two parcel bombs that failed to detonate were found in the UK and Dubai on Friday, and home secretary Theresa May has since announced restrictions on imports of printing supplies.
Printer toner cartridges that are heavier than 500g are now prohibited in hand baggage or cargo shipments unless businesses have government-approved security arrangements.
It is not known what security measures, if any, will be put in place in respect of commercial shipments. However, Pat Holloway, UK marketing manager at Kodak, was confident that there will be "no effect whatsoever".
"We go through a lot of security checks as it is anyway and we're in very good shape," he said.
Anette Nachbar, director, corporate communications EMEA, HP, said: "HP is assisting the authorities with their investigation and has no further comment at this time."
Canon, Xerox and Flint were all unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
