The new press, launched in the US in August 2011, prints at 60ft/minute at a resolution of 1,600dpi. It uses Memjet drop-on-demand thermal inkjet technology and has a printable width of 8.77in.
OwnX sales and marketing vice president Dennis Kallaher said: "The ideal candidates to help us promote the product in the US would be companies that supply commercial printers and converters."
OwnX is sharing a booth with PCM/Image-Tek, which is demonstrating its new MP850 label finishing system, an inline or off-line label unit that can laminate or rotary die-cut digitally pre-printed labels at up to 10in/second, using existing 7in Flexo rotary tooling or magnetic cylinders with flexible dies.
Kallaher added: "These products have the speed, reliability and flexibility to maximise your profits. And they have the lowest total cost of ownership in the market."
