The workshops, which are due to take place in September, will feature presentations from both companies, as well as the BPIF, on how to make a successful foray in the digital print arena.
During the open days, Océ and Friedheim will also attempt to establish what barriers have prevented some printers from moving into digital technology.
Paul Krisson, GA programme manager at Océ, said: "Digital print volumes are climbing by 26% per annum.
"We are now in the time of transition from litho to digital and, as market leaders and experts in digital production, we need to be sharing information with commercial printers who have yet to invest in their future."
Peter Morris, managing director at Friedheim International, said that the seminars would "undoubtedly assist" litho printers taking the first steps into the digital print world.
The workshops begin in Bristol on 16 September and end in London on 29 September. Full details of times and registration details are available at www.oce.com/seedsofchange
