Kodak, OKI, Vpress, and Antalis will showcase equipment and products at Morgana’s Milton Keynes showroom for a three-day event titled Taking Print Further from 20-22 March.
Technology to be demonstrated onsite will include Morgana’s finishing systems such as the DigiFold Pro 385 – which was showcased at last year’s PrintWeekLive! – and AutoCreaser Pro 385, and Kodak’s NexPress Digital Colour production press.
“We have hosted events like this in the past, such as our Print2Finish roadshow with Konica Minolta and Vivid, which have gone very successfully,” said Morgana marketing manager Wendy Baker. “Approximately 40-50 companies visited us at decent-sized venues.
“At this new event, we hope to be doing better than that – especially with the central, accessible location.
“Hopefully companies will come along to see how digital print and finishing is an economical way of enhancing print, and how automation can benefit your business. We are viewing this as a one-stop shop which will present customers with all the digital resources they need.”
Morgana itself will carry out a number of workflow demonstrations to show its range of bookletmakers, PUR binders, card cutters, laminators, and flatbed cutters, using paper stock provided by show partner Antalis.
The paper supplier will also be demonstrating its Digicolor Silk banner-size material on Kodak’s NexPress. With the NexPress, Kodak will be running a variety of speciality inks and finishes, such as gold, opaque, white, high-gloss, dimensional, and matte.
According to Baker, Morgana Systems has further products coming to market later in the year. They will be announced in April.
