Speaking exclusively to PrintWeek following the announcement that Manroland had filed for insolvency protection in Germany, Revill said that it had been "an emotional and relentlessly difficult day".
He added: "I’m doing my best to keep our staff and customers as informed as I can. I’m in the process of calling all our customers and so far have received an enormous amount of support from every single customer I’ve spoken to, right the way across the country, and I thank everyone for that.
"Manroland is not dead by a long way. Look what happened to Goss, they were in Chapter 11 for a long time.
"We are okay and solvent here in the UK, we are supporting our customers and making sure our suppliers are paid on time. It is business as normal as far as we are concerned, while we await the results of the restructuring efforts in Germany.
"We have had some issues with transport of spares from Germany, so we are sending our own transport to ensure we can get parts to people. I am trying to impress upon all our customers that we need people to pay their bills for the work we’ve carried out and for the equipment received."
