The new presses have been commissioned at its new print and packaging plant at Hosiery and Textile Park Barhi, Sonepat, Haryana.
The family-owned business specialises in jacquard woven labels, printed labels, velvet ribbons, heat transfer labels, price tickets, barcodes and hang tags and will now be catering to the packaging requirements of garment and pharmaceutical industries.
"Growth of garment and pharmaceutical sector is driving the demand for packaging which in turn is leading to expansion of capacity to meet the demand," said Bhupinder Jain, director of Manohar Filaments.
The company makes 40- lakh labels per day. With the installation of new machines at the Barhi plant, the company aims to meet the growing demand for packaging.
Established in 1986, Manohar Filaments set up the Barhi plant in the January 2010.
The company opted for Heidelberg machine. "Heidelberg presses deliver high quality products and higher productivity. The presses are powerful, strongly built and reliable," said Jain.
Besides the presses, the Barhi plant is equipped with a Kodak CTP, EskoArtwork system, Bobst Novacut 106 die-cutting machine and a folder gluer.
The Rs 60-cr Manohar Filaments deals in 40% direct exports and 60% through export-oriented units. It serves clients like Gap, H&M, Target, Benetton, Adidas and many more. It has staff strength of 500+.

New Delhi-based garment trims specialist has ensured that its foray into a new segment of packaging is optimum following installation of a Heidelberg CD 102 six-colour with coater and UV System and SM 74 four-colour presses.
