KPM, based in Swanley, Kent, brought in the colour cutsheet digital production sheet with the added options of a stacker, high capacity input trays and inline stitching, at the turn of the year to fulfil the growing needs of its existing client base and win new contracts.
The company, formerly known as Key Print and Mailing, trebled its floorspace to 1,115sqm early last year in the beginning stages of its two-year expansion plan.
KPM boasts a number of high profile clients, including the majority of FTSE 100 companies and 2012’s 40% growth looks set to continue this year as the company focuses on expanding its service offerings to these key businesses, as well as the commercial and public sectors, Graeme Burton, KPM’s operations director claimed.
He said: "The addition of our first C901 will put us in a stronger position when tendering within these sectors, and the increased workload that will result from winning those contracts.
"It was imperative we invested in a machine that could handle larger volume full-colour personalised projects. Colour consistency during runs has always been a problem with previous vendor offerings, but the C901 continues to impress with its excellent colour management and flexibility of substrates."
KPM has been a Ricoh customer since 2009 and the C901 joins its two Kodak Digimaster lines bought from the vendor.
