The 1,200dpi machine offers duplex printing on stocks up to 300gsm, with 350gsm for single-sided work.

The press is joined at the vendor's stand (9/DE340) by the 70ppm sister machine, the Bizhub Press C7000. The family is rounded off with the 60ppm Bizhub Press C6000. The range offers an upgrade path for users of its existing range, topped out by the 65ppm Bizhub Pro C6501e.

Olaf Lorenz, general manager of the Production Printing Division, said the C8000 was aimed at traditional offset printers moving towards digital. "Print-for-pay businesses that are already in digital printing but are looking to move to the next step, will also be impressed by this press' abilities," he added.
