The Lithrone SX629 is specified CF+C+E, and is the latest addition to the manufacturer's LS29 series.
The machine offers a sheet size of 610 x 750mm, which provides a maximum image area of 585 x 740mm, 12.5% larger than previous models in the LS29 range.
The press can be used for multi-image layouts, such as labels, smaller cartons, and DVD and CD covers.
The manufacturer will demonstrate the press, although without the die-cutting unit, at this year's Drupa.
Komori will exhibit under the banner "Five Solutions" at Drupa. Komori UK head of marketing Philip Dunn said the firm's 1886sqm stand will be split into separate areas for separate markets with "something new in every corner".
In addition to the Lithrone, Komori will give a world premiere to its five-colour Spica 29P Perfector and will showcase the KHS-AI: a new version of its Komori Hiper System at the Düsseldorf event.
Drupa will also feature the first showing of its five-colour version of the Spica 29P Perfector.
The entry-level press is claimed to offer small on-demand printers a step up into new markets by offering four- and five-colour production.
In addition to a fully automatic 60-second changeover between straight printing and perfecting, the Spica can handle maximum sheet sizes of 530 x 750mm at thicknesses up to 0.30mm in doubled-sided mode.
Drupa will also see Komori demonstrate its KHS-AI software, which now features a self-learning function that memorises any changes an operator makes to CIP4 download information and uses it for subsequent jobs.
The Advanced Intelligence functionality features a fast print start system functionality, which is claimed to reduce waste sheets prior to printing and ensures earlier precision of ink, water and register settings.
Komori US technical director Doug Schardt said the software will help to "reduce non-profitable time" between jobs.
Komori will be exhibiting in Hall 15 at Drupa, which takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany from 29 May to 11 June 2008.
