The 15,000sph Rapida 75 has been developed with a slightly larger sheet size of 520x750mm and can be specified with two to eight units plus coater and perfector. The label and packaging version comes in a special 605x750mm size.
KBA used the event to demonstrate updates to its B1 Rapida 105 Universal, which has reverted to its original name, Rapida 105, along with its medium-format Rapida 106, which it called "its absolute highlight".
The manufacturer will use its 3,400m2 stand to show off an array of enhancements to boost efficiency, quality and automation, such as DensiTronic density measurement technology that monitors content between PDF and print, QualiTronic sheet inspection system for check quality throughout the print process and DriveTronic SPC for quick plate changes.
KBA has partnered with MIS specialist Hiflex to create division KBA Complete, "an independent consultancy specialising in strategic investment planning, process analysis and workflow optimisation".
The arm, which launched last week, will look at all stages of the print process, including JDF workflows, pre-press, press and finishing applications.
