It can print at a resolution of up to 1,200dpi and uses Konica’s new Simitri HD toner. In addition, the machine features an eight-beam laser engine made from die-cast aluminium – a feature that allows it to print to a standard that, according to Konica, is comparable to offset. The unit can handle stocks of up to 350gsm in simplex mode and 300gsm in duplex mode. The press will be previewed at Ipex and is set to be commercially available in the UK later this year.
