InnoInk enables printers to upload job information to the cloud and download ink presets, for a wide range of coverage and substrates, that can be used with all heatset, coldset and UV offset presses equipped with motorised and non-motorised ink keys and ink sweep.

The launch continues the trend for cloud-based print services, following the unveiling at last month's Drupa of products such as Pantone and X-Rite's PantoneLive, FFEI's Colour Cloud, Fuji's XMF PrintCentre and EFI's Fiery Dashboard.

InnoInk can be accessed from any computer equipped with a web browser and internet connection and, because it is cloud-based, it doesn't require any additional hardware or software purchases or installation costs.

Manny Patel, president and chief executive of Innolutions, said: "Our customers love the fact that they only have to pay when they use the innoInk system, which means they start saving as soon as they do their first run.

Usage charges are tiered so that high volume users will pay a lower rate per use. Other features include a "learning algorithm" to keep presets optimised and a broad choice of upload and download formats.
