The company claims the four-colour printer is the most "cost-effective" on the market, offering print speeds of 27m/min at a resolution of 1440dpi for around £200,000 depending on the configuration.
The reel-to-reel system uses 16 Konica Minolta KM1024 print heads that can use ink from a number of manufacturers and can print onto a range of substrates including plastic film and coated paper label stocks with a print width of 282mm. This can be increased to 410mm.
"Ipex is the most important event this year for us," said managing director John Corrall. "We decided that it was important for us to show a production-ready reel-to-reel system."
The machine will be demonstrated on Konica Minolta's stand at the show.
