The press, which will debut its new automation features on Fujifilm's stand (B1/220) at next month's show, is designed for high-volume, cost-effective printing on a variety of materials sized up to 3.14x1.6m and 50mm thick. It can operate at speeds of up to 275sqm per hour.
The Inca Onset S20 can operate in three modes – manual, semi-automatic or three-quarters automatic. The company claims that by adding automation, operators can boost productivity by 36%, compared with manual operation.
It also allows different sheet sizes to be positioned before the start of the printing process, ready for the handling system to remove printed sheets swiftly before loading the next. The automation system can manage up to three sheets at a time and can print double-sided.
Inca chief executive Linda Bell said: "Production automation is important to our customers to ensure maximum productivity and cost-efficiency with minimal downtime, in order to deliver the very best return on investment."
At Fespa, which takes place in Munich from 22-26 June, the Onset S20 will be running using a six-colour (CMYK, plus Lc and Lm) Fujifilm Uvijet Enhance inkset.
It will produce an array of quality and finish effects (matt, satin and high gloss) for a range of applications including point-of-sale, exhibition graphics, backlit and frontlit displays, and outdoor signage.
