PackEdge was attended by brand owners who shared their views on the significance of labels and packaging.
The event included a discussion on challenges for packaging development professionals with the head of packaging at Hindustan Unilever.
This was followed by a panel discussion with brand owners, technology and substrate providers along with Cognizance Packaging Solutions and SGRE Labels.
D S Subba Reddy, the managing director of SGRE Labels said, "We have demonstrated our competence by providing custom designed labelling solutions to our customers. With the consumer goods manufacturers under pressure to lower costs and digital equipment manufacturers beginning to address the special needs of packaging, digital printing will play a role."
Reddy added: "We swear by HP for its one stop print technology and portfolio." SGRE owns a HP Indigo label press which produces print with the look and feel of offset – and a wide range of colours and label and packaging substrates.
