Fespa announces European Congress

Fespa has announced its first European Congress scheduled for 19 November in Brussels focussing on technical, marketing and environmental seminars to showcase the benefits of membership.

The one-day event will bring together Fespa associations from the UK as well as Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and France and delegates will have the opportunity to learn about technical innovation in digital printing, the changing dynamics of marketing and print's place within it and sustainable business practices.

The day will start with Fespa executives' definitive guide to innovation in screen and digital print "45 minutes to innovate", and will close with a networking drinks reception.

Speakers include technical guru Nicholas Hellmuth from FLAAR Reports and Jan Van der Veken of specialist agency Marcom Projects.

Fespa managing director Nigel Steffens said: "We can't overlook the fact that our community maturing at different rates depending on geography and local market conditions and effects of the recent economic downturn have differed significantly from region to region.

"We're committed to understanding and supporting the needs of our member associations. One effective way of doing this is to work with clusters of national associations in key regions to deliver events that can home in on the specific commercial issues that affect print business owners and managers in their countries.

He said he hoped the congress would be the first of many similar regional events. More information is available on the Fespa website, including details of member discount schemes.
