Announced last August, the Birmingham NEC event was set to act as a national showcase for the wide range of digital printing equipment and services available to the commercial printing market.
It is also expected promote the benefits of digital print to a wide audience that includes print buyers, marketeers, designers and brand owners.
According to Digital Print UK show director Rudi Blackett, the decision followed comprehensive market feedback from exhibitors facing budget constraints in a Drupa year.
He said: "We want visitors to have a mix of advice, demonstrations and working applications – all in one place at one time to give real business value.
"All that’s changing now is the date, which is being moved to the autumn of 2013 and will also allow us more time to model the show to further suit exhibitor and visitor requirements."
