Dscoop EMEA runs in Tel Aviv, Israel, from the 5 to 8 April. More than 750 attendees from 50 countries and 40 Dscoop partners will spread out across about 36,000sqm - the biggest show yet.
Peter van Teeseling, Dscoop global director of operations said: “The showcase is nine times the square footage attendees saw in 2015.
“The main challenges for the graphic arts sector right now are the popularity and growth of digital media such as e-books, online news portals and e-marketing.
“But all of these still present an opportunity for the graphic arts sector. Printers can discover new ideas and diversify their business or introduce new services to complement new technology.”
Van Teeseling said the sector was enjoying a period of growth but economic times “are still tough” with Dscoop members in Russia, for example, hit by the currency crisis.
“However, labels and packaging members are experiencing – in some cases – double-digit growth of their businesses,” he said.
