Ramya diversified into digital printing following installation of Canon ImagePress C7000VP, ten months ago.
P Narendra, director of Ramya said: "The Canon has been impressive, so far. In the slowdown, business was slightly down. We were looking for new markets and more business. Digital was the option, especially for walk-in customers who sought small print orders."
Going digital helped Ramya generate additional business. Now, they have a complete package with offset and digital complementing each other. The unit which is located in the busy cross-section of Bommanahall is draped with a massive outdoor signage that publicises about the digital services. This has attracted new visitors.
Narendra explained: "We serve around 200 regular customers from the commercial segment. The Canon press has helped us break into new markets and expand customer base, which includes the common man. We have created a new world of print opportunities."
The digital segment housed on the first-floor of the three-storied building, prints posters, business cards, calendars, photo ID cards, letterheads, certificates as well as proofs. Ramya's expertises in invites and printing on special papers.
Ramya Reprographics has plans to invest in an envelope printing kit as well as post-press equipment for special applications.
